The headphones come in a nice presentation box with the headphones, protective case, cables and instructions. These are advertised as a British Audio Brand although I have never have heard of them before but they are new to the market, Iam not sure if they are British designed but made in China but anyway they do the part with their black and molten silver design on the earcups which look very striking and premium and are a limited edition run , the silver is hand drawn on each earcup to give each headphone a unique one off design. The earpads are well made and super soft from memory foam with large enough openings for my ears. You can use these wired also with the included cable although these are really marketed as wireless using the 5.3 bluetooth codec technology and for that purpose they work superbly with no loss of signal or drop outs when moving about. The sound is excellent with mid focused spectrum with good bass extension and clear highs. The ANC technology seems to work very well when out and about in a noisy environment. These are a newcomer brand to the already busy and crowded ANC wireless headphone market and have they done enough to set them apart from the crowd?......maybe, excellent first effort!
Review:The Opus is a rare find on Amazon: a "boutique" brand that actually delivers on technical specs.Key Observations:Connectivity: Bluetooth 5.3 provides a rock-solid connection with zero lag when watching videos.Soundstage: Switch on the '360° Spatial Mode' for movies—it really opens up the sound, making it feel like you're in a cinema.Effective Hybrid ANC: It does a brilliant job of silencing the low rumble of a bus or train engine. It’s significantly better than standard ANC at this price point.Low Clamping Force: They sit very comfortably on the head. I wore them for a 4-hour stint and didn't experience any of the usual "ear pinch."Unique Artisan Finish: The "Liquid Metal" pattern is tactile and looks incredible in person. It feels far more premium than the standard plastic finishes from Sony or Bose.Multipoint Connection: Being able to stay connected to my [Nothing Phone (3)] and my laptop at the same time is a game-changer for work-from-home life.Finish: The multi-layer printing isn't just a sticker; it’s a durable, textured finish that feels expensive.
This is not a brand I have come across so I wasn’t sure what to expect but these are a really unique design that look high end and classy but for me the best bit is they are the most comfortable ear pads I have ever worn and I have had other earphones that are twice the price but end up putting pressure on my ears whereas these I can use for long periods of time and still feel comfortable. They come in a sturdy protective case too and are surprisingly light weight which makes these perfect for travelling.Pairing was incredibly simple and this is coming from a real technophob! The sound quality is impressive although the noise cancelling not so much I have definitely had better.
Let's start with the build quality, which is fairly good. You have an all-plastic construction, but it doesn't feel cheap and tacky, fitting firmly into the midrange feel, which is where they are priced. The earcups, for me, with larger ears, are a little small, but not to the point that I couldn't use them, and they have lovely plush cushions surrounding them. The headband is also nice and soft with adequate padding to keep them comfortable.Design-wise, though, the "limited edition liquid metal design" is frankly marketing nonsense; they just look like stripes and frankly don't do anything for me.Next is the sound quality, which is actually pretty good, though for me the bass is overboosted (I'm no bass head and prefer a natural-sounding headphone), but it's not boosted to the point that it totally ruins the treble and mids (though it does still overpower them), both of which are fairly good with some nice sparkle in the treble while avoiding anything harsh or piercing, and the mids having a decent balance, though a little muddiness is still there. Overall sound quality for a £100 pair of headphones is pretty good, probably more so if you really like bass. The ANC is there and works, but it's not a patch on the leading brands' ANC.Connectivity was good across the board, being quick and easy to pair and reconnecting easily every time after. I really would have liked to see a low-latency mode on them so they could be used for visual mediums wirelessly, but alas, it's not there, so no using these for films and games unless you're wired. The battery life is also fine with me, hitting 20 hours and still going strong. I do also appreciate the physical buttons rather than the awful touch-based ones many headphones now use.Overall for £100 these are a pretty decent value for money, but I really do just wish they had a low-latency mode.
The “Opus Limited Edition Designer Headphones with Hybrid ANC” from “Ludwig Lorbach” are a set of mid-ranged, headphones that deliver a good quality sound and active noise cancelling for a quite reasonable price-tag.Aesthetically the headphones look excellent. They’re not overly flashy but understated with a cool ‘Matrix’ like design to them. The outer side of the earpieces have this funky ‘Matrix’ style of design which although subtle is noticeable and adds a uniqueness to them. The headphones also feel very durable exhibiting a long-lasting manufacture – with every join and piece looking and feeling tight, smooth and very well manufactured. Indeed, it’s very unlikely that you will ever manage to accidentally damage the solid feeling headband or the earpieces.Comfort-wise, when being worn the headphones feel incredibly comfortable. This is no doubt primarily down to the leather-like padding that covers the entirety of the headband as well as the insides of the two earpieces. Furthermore, the earcups swivel to fit the shape of your head, adding to the overall comfort with wearing the headphones.Sound quality-wise, the first thing that comes across is the good clarity of the audio reproduction and the delivery of deep bass where the notes delve a lot lower. The bass hasn’t been given any noticeable added boost at the lower end of the spectrum like a lot of higher-end headphones do, in order to enhance the deeper tones for the listener to really notice the bass’s underlying presence. Unwanted distortion wise, personally I couldn't pick up anything that shouldn't be there. No flawed or massively noticeable amalgamating of tones (although admittedly there isn’t quite the depth of layers you hear with high-end headphones). There’s no obvious blurring or corruption of the clarity of the notes. On the surface the sound certainly seems to be pretty darn distortion free. The 360 degree spatial audio is also superb! It somehow manages to deliver a feeling of sound coming from different directions with depth to it. When wearing the headphones for watching films etc, this really comes into its own. It’s quite spectacularly immersive for a set of headphones. I was a tad dubious before trying them out, but found this really is a very cool feature that works surprisingly well. The headphones also offer active noise cancelling. This is reasonably effective. Again, not as effective as my Bose earbuds at cutting out the outside ambient noise. On my daily commute I sit on a train, and with these on and listening to music, I can’t really hear the hustle and bustle of those around. Conversations which are close by aren’t discernible or even noticeable with a soundtrack playing as I read a book. All in all, I’d still say the headphones are a very good piece of audio equipment for the money. They’re not audiophile quality, but the ANC is very good for the price. They deliver a very good sound reproduction, the immersive 360 degree audio is impressive, they’re comfortable and the funky ‘Matrix’ look makes them stylish too!
